Merchgirls

@merchgirls
Our purpose is to evolve corporate merchandise beyond the ‘slap a logo on it’ mentality and instead create products with design integrity and innate appeal.

We create high quality custom promotional merchandise for clients who want to extend their brand into the hands of their target audience.

Zero Single-Use Plastic Since 2018

Minimising Our Footprint In 2018, we committed to eliminating single-use plastic from our packaging process, setting a new industry standard.

By switching to recycling materials like tissue paper and cardboard shipping cartons, we took significant strides towards reducing our environmental footprint.

Beyond our own practices, we challenged the entire industry to embrace plastic-free packaging, setting the standard and leading by example.

2023 Carbon Positive Freight

Rigorous assessment of carbon emissions from our freight operations has allowed us to take targeted action, partnering with Carbon Neutral for certified carbon-neutral offsetting.

Taking a significant stride towards carbon neutrality, we planted 5,475 trees in the Yarra Yarra Corridor, WA, sequestering 365 tonnes of carbon during FY22,23.

Our commitment continues with plans to plant 9,450 trees in 2023, contributing to a carbon sequestration of 630 tonnes.

In addition, Merchgirls provided funding for a UN Clean Development Mechanism unit, a Metro Project in Delhi, India, which addresses several UN Sustainable Development Goals, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions by replacing conventional transport options.

Embracing Australian Made

Recognising the stringent environmental protection policies that accompany Australian manufacturing, we proudly opt for locally made products.

12% of our products offerings are proudly Australian made, and an additional 30% of our products are either crafted or decorated within Australia.

This choice aligns with lower energy consumption, increased recycling efforts, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions compared to that of companies who imports their entire range from offshore.

Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 interconnected goals established by the United Nations in 2015. The SDGs provide a comprehensive framework for addressing the world's most pressing economic, social, and environmental challenges.

Global impact groups play a crucial role in supporting the SDGs by creating mechanisms to mobilise resources, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive collective action toward achieving the goals. These groups have the capacity to leverage their expertise and resources to make a significant positive impact.
